This web site is dedicated to helping those interested in taking the first steps in exploring ballroom dancing in the New England area.
As this site grows, we will include information on wedding preparation and wedding first dance, drop-in group classes for beginners, adult ballroom lessons, dance parties, and private instruction.
While ballroom dancing might be intimidating at the beginning, my aspiration is to help beginners find dance lessons and ballroom dance venues where they feel welcome. My experience has been that the best instructors have a lighthearted and structured approach to teaching so that each lesson results in that feeling of joyful accomplishment which I felt when I attended the lessons listed on our Calendar.
I have personally attended at least one of the lessons at every venue on Our Calendar and list them as my version of the Phantom Dance Student (similar to those three men on Boston radio who anomalously visit restaurants and give their reviews).
The dance styles listed here are those on my ‘bucket list’ which include: · Cha Cha · Foxtrot · Rumba · Waltz · Viennese Waltz · East Coast Swing · Tango ( American ) · West Coast Swing
